Serving export-quality Ceylon Tea to the world
Ceylon Tea from Kelani Valley Plantations’ Pedro Estate was on display at the joyous occasion of the Queen of England’s Platinum Jubilee, marking a sixty-eight-year legacy and evolution of one of Sri Lanka’s most celebrated and significant global exports.
The tea selected for the Platinum Jubilee was harvested from the Pedro Estate in Nuwara Eliya, amongst the very tea bushes that H.R.H The Duke of Edinburgh planted back in 1954, when he, alongside the Queen, paid a royal visit.
Today, this historic action symbolises not only the long-standing bond between the two countries, but also depicts the origins of one of the most sought after teas in the world, now a staple amongst the most discerning tea consumers. The range has expanded, but the philosophy behind the product and its commitment to sustainability and world-class quality remain intact.
